Which on fast moving highly detailed images makes a big difference. It's incredibly powerful if fine tuning video quality features, forced I frames on scene changes etc. Check out Gary Rebholz overview here.įor the best encoding of DVD and DB master files to use in DVDA or any authoring package I find it very hard to get better quality than using MainConcept's Total Code Studio. I still use it occasionally when asked for a DVD or BD master. Back in the early 2000's we created over a couple of hundred titles in both PAL and NTSC in DVDA with no problems at all. or DVDs as the case may be.ĭVDA comes with a bunch of templates but you can import any artwork you create and design in your favorite graphics program.
You create a master image of your finished authored BD and send it off to a BD replication house and they bang out the BDs. DVDA can create master images with zoning if required for both 25 and 50GB BD discs. The last lot of BD master images I needed for a production I created in DVD Architect.
#TOAST BURN 4K UHD SOFTWARE#
If I do eventually find a response or one of you finds the solution for me I will keep the post up to date about if I ever find a solution or not.Sony Blu-Print was and I think is still the software that Sony and many other BD authoring outfits used to use. I am assuming it must be an issue with the discs being as they are 100GB XL Discs as this is the only difference between the two but I am still unsure of this and could be very wrong.Īny information that you feel may be useful to me in solving this would be very much appreciated. I have also previously burned two copies of the 2015 DTS Blu-Ray Demo Disc using the exact same setup and one of the aforementioned software packages, the only difference being I used Verbatim BD-R DL 50GB Discs and these have worked flawlessly with no issues what-so-ever both in the Asus drive I burned them in and in my own personal Samsung player and the many different players of that I have used in clients homes. I did use DVD Fab to Rip the Disc but I had no issues with that process and completed it with no errors. I did originally intend to use DVD Fab however it just crashes upon loading the ISO file.

I have now burned 3 copies of the Spears and Munsil Disc all with the same outcome using different software packages that include Toast 20 Pro (On Mac), UltraISO, and IMG Burn. To eliminate my player from the equation I have also tested it on a family member's brand new Panasonic DP-UB820EB, with no success.
#TOAST BURN 4K UHD MANUAL#
I have no issues playing this disc in VLC with the same Blu-Ray drive that I used to burn the disc which is an Asus BW-16D1HT but when I place the disc into my Samsung UBD-K8500 after a few moments a message pops up on the screen stating that it cannot be played and to please clean the disc and read the manual that came with the disc. I recently burned the Spears & Munsil UHD HDR Benchmark Disc to a Verbatim 100GB BD-XL Disc as a backup in the case of my original disc becoming damaged when I am out in the field as I am a home cinema engineer by trade.
Also, this could be the wrong sub to post this in, so if there is a more appropriate one to post in, I would be more than willing to move over. Apologies if there's already a thread about this, but I didn't see one when scrolling through.
